Simple Hamburger Stir Fry

Simple Hamburger Stir Fry

This simple hamburger stir fry was created on a week night that I was trying to use up a few fresh items.  We had a pound of hamburger, and some veggies that needed to be used. I do not like wasting food, with that you will find that my recipes are very flexible in what veggie you would like to cook with. This gives you the freedom to enjoy your favorites or have that opportunity to not waste.
Course Main Dish

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pkg. Harvest Grains Blend If you don't have a Trader Joe's near you, brown rice is a great replacement.
  • 1 lb Hamburger browned
  • 1/2 yellow onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoons coconut aminos
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3-4 cups veggies chopped - – we prefer cabbage and carrots
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or grapeseed oil

Notes

I love to use Coconut Aminos in place of soy sauce. Coconut Aminos is a fermented raw coconut sat and salt.  There are more health benefits to coconut amino verses soy sauce.  It offer amino acids is soy-free, NON-GMO, and lower in sodium.  We do not notice a taste difference. The beauty of this recipe is to can use whatever veggies you have or love the most! Our favorite for this stir fry is cabbage is carrots. However broccoli, organic corn, and peppers are also good too!  Stir Fry is a easy way to pack your dinner full of veggies. I hope your family enjoys this delicious meal as much as we do! Keep in mind that this meal is perfect to make a double batch of and freeze for your week day lunches or as another family dinner.
