My favorite Turkey Burger

If you have ever made a turkey burger,  you may have noticed that they can taste pretty plain or even come off the grill reminding you more of a hard hockey puck.  I knew there was hope. Each time I would make these burgers I would try different seasonings to help. Over time I still had more hockey puck fails. With practice and trying more ingredients rather then just seasonings, I found our new favorite version.

Turkey Burger Recipe

Ingredients:

1lb Ground Turkey

1/2  Avocado

1/2 chopped white onion

2 tablespoons Crumbled Feta or Blue Cheese

1/2 Yellow or Red pepper chopped finely

Mix all 5 ingredients together along with the seasonings. Then patty in 4, 1/4lb. patties and grill until cooked fully through.  Top with more avocado, Feta or Blue Cheese Crumbles, Ketchup and Mustard.  I love as a lettuce wrap or just plain!

I also wanted to share our side with this dinner. I foiled up Cabbage, Sweet Potatoes and Brussels Sprouts along with Coconut oil. Then placed on the grill or you could also place on a cookie sheet and bake.

Keep in mind this is a great meal to make a few extra. Freeze uncooked for the next time you are grilling or grill extras for your lunches for the next week.
