Healthy Snacking Options

I love creating protein bowls. it’s become a fun, simple way to incorporate a healthy snack. Sometimes these protein bowls are random items in the fridge and other times they are items to fix a craving. My focus this year in my health journey has been “back to the basics” and “portion control”. These bowls fit both of these goals!

These are all foods I always have on hand in my home. Not only can these protein bowls be a snack, but they are great lunch or dinner options as well. I find when I eat simple, I feel better, and it’s easier to stay on track. Eating health doesn’t have to be complicated or fancy!

Oat Egg Scramble

Cook 1-2 eggs in a saucepan. Once the eggs are almost cooked through, add 1/4 c. dry oats. Place the eggs and oats into a bowl and top with peanut butter, cinnamon, and fresh berries.

Greek Yogurt Bowl

Layer plain greek yogurt, 1/3 c. of your favorite organic granola, and top with fresh berries.
